Turkey Sausage Kabobs

Ingredients

  • 4 turkey smokies, about 500g (1 lb.), 4
  • 1 medium onion, 1
  • 1 small red or green pepper, 1
  • 1 can 798 ml (19 oz.) whole baby potatoes, 1
  • 25 mL water, 2 Tbsp.
  • 25 mL ketchup, 2 Tbsp.
  • 15 mL B.B.Q sauce, 1 Tbsp.
  • 15 mL prepared mustard, 1 Tbsp.
  • 15 mL relish, 1 Tbsp.

Instructions

  • Cut smokies into 4 crosswise pieces.
  • Quarter the onion lengthwise separate layers.
  • Cut pepper into 4 lengthwise pieces then 3 crosswise.
  • On 4 – 35 cm (14 inch) skewers alternate pieces of turkey, onion, pepper and potato, repeat two more times ending with turkey.
  • Do all skewers the same.
  • Grill over medium hot fire, when you can hold your palm at grill level 3-4 minutes, turn and baste top with the mixture of water, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard and relish.
  • Cook another 3 – 4 minutes.
  • Baste bottom side of skewer before removing from grill.
